I love fall, it is the best time of the year in the Northeast US for the beautiful colors. I recently was out west and when I returned home the leaves were changing colors and it inspired me to create this card.
Components for the card:
- Mint Macaron – Card Base – 4 1/4 x 11
- Early Espresso – Layer 1 – 5 x 3 3/4
- Early Espresso – Layer 2 – 4 3/4 x 3 1/2 (this layer will be hidden by the Designer Series Paper
- Gilded Autumn – Crumb Cake colored piece and Mint Macron colored piece (1 each) to layer on the Early Espresso Layer 2 – 2 1/4 x 3 1/2
- Thick Very Vanilla – Inside sentiment layer – 5 x 3 3/4
- Thick Very Vanilla – front sentiment layer – 3/4 x 2 1/2
- Leaves for the card – using the Stitched Leaves dies – die cut 6 leaves from Early Espresso, Cajun Craze and Soft Suede.
- Forever Gold Specialty Paper
- Mint Macaron Basket Weave Ribbon – 5 1/2″
- Cooper Grosgrain Ribbon – 11″
- Braided Linen Trim – 12″
Directions:
- Fold Card Base in half and adhere the larger Early Espresso to the front.
- Stitched Leaves Dies – use the die that has the stitched lines to create dimension to the Crumb Cake piece and then adhere it to the top of the smaller Early Espresso piece, then adhere the Mint Macaron (with brass leaves) to the bottom of the Early Espresso piece. There will be a gap in the center, now wrap the Mint Macaron Basket Weave Ribbon and using Tear & Tape on the ends of the ribbon to secure to the back of the card.
- Take your leaves and adhere them to the front of the card behind the ribbon using glue dots or your adhesive of choice. I also added some leaves from the Forever Gold Speciality Paper.
- Stamp your outside sentiment and flag the end of the sentiment (see picture) and adhere the smallest leaf to the left side. Create a bow using the Braided Linen Trim and adhere over the leaf. On the back of the sentiment create and adhere loops with the Cooper Grosgrain Ribbon (I had enough to create 4 loops).
- Stamp the inside sentiment on the Thick Very Vanilla cardstock and adhere to the inside of the card.
