Braided Edge Card

Here’s a fun edge to your card. Some have called this the lattice edge and some have called it the braided edge, but whatever you want to call it, I think it gives an interesting dynamic to your card and it is really easy to do. This one is very striking with the Black and White Theme. I also added some Wink of Stella to one of the large seashells.

Black and White Seashell Card

  • Basic Black Card Base – 8 ½ x 5 ½, and 2 ¾ x 4 ¾
  • Basic White –  scrap at least 2 ½ x ¼ and 2 pieces 3 ¼ x 5 ¼
  • Shimmery White – 5 ¼ x 4 – die cut using the Seaside Shells die and then emboss using the Seashells 3 D Embossing folder. Once done – cut each seashell out and arrange on the front of the card . Select the seashell you want to highlight with additional shimmer by using the Wink of Stella on it.
  • Adhere the Basic Black 2 ¾ x 4 ¾ to one of the Basic White 3 ¼ x 5 ¼
  • Stamp a sentiment on the 2 ½ x ¼ inch Basic White scrap and cut to fit on the Basic Black front panel
  • On the inside Basic White 3 ¼ x 5 ¼ stamp sea shells and sea grass images in Memento Black at the bottom and then use Wink of Stella to add some sparkle to your images and don’t forget to add the sentiment of your choice to the top.

The template for the braided edge can be found at the following link. Be sure to have 2 paperclips to hold the template to your card base. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ViU6We2igCYjB3lwIA27hylVm5irOYKk/view
