Cake Day

One of my favorite things about card making is creating designs that can easily be customized for different styles and recipients. Today I’m sharing two Happy Birthday cards we made in class—one with a more feminine feel and one with a masculine look—using the same core products.

Both cards feature the Cake Day Bundle paired with the So Swirly Embossing Folder. This combination is so versatile and adds just the right amount of texture and celebration to a birthday card. By simply changing up the designer paper and color palette, you can get two very different looks from the same layout.

For the masculine card, we brought in the Country Woods DSP, which adds a rich, warm feel and works beautifully for men’s birthday cards. It’s a great reminder that you don’t need a completely different design—just a few thoughtful changes can make a big impact.
