Father’s Day or Happy Birthday Card

Here’s a fun way to use the Country Woods Designer Series Paper to create a masculine card that’s perfect for Father’s Day or a birthday celebration. The woodgrain patterns and rich natural tones make it easy to design a card with a warm, rustic feel that works well for so many occasions.

Dimensions:
Basic Black Card Base – 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4, and 5 1/4 x 4
Early Espresso – 5 1/4 x 1 and scrap to cut a 1 3/4 in circle.
Basic Beige – 5 1/4 x 4 and scrap to cut a 1 inch circle
Country Woods DSP – cut 6 pieces – 6 x 1
Ribbon – 6 1/2 and 3 inches.

Instructions:
Using the Basic Black 5 1/4 x 4 layer the Country Woods DSP at an angle leaving a very small amount of the Basic Black showing through each piece and adhere. Cutting from the back, cut away any pieces hanging over and reuse them to fill in where you need additional DSP at the top and bottom.
Using the 6 1/2 piece of ribbon wrap around the 5 1/4 x 4 piece of Early Espresso. Tie the other piece around the ribbon and tie a knot. (see picture). Adhere the Early Espresso piece using dimensionals to the front of the Country Woods DSP piece and then adhere to the front of the card.
Stamp your sentiment on the Basic Beige circle and adhere to Early Espresso, the adhere to the card using dimensionals.
Stamp your inside sentiment on the Basic Beige 5 1/4 x 4 and adhere to the inside of the card.
