Poetic Petals and True Blue Florals DSP

I just love the beautiful True Blue Florals Designer Series Paper, one of Stampin’ Up!’s Product of the Month selections! The gorgeous shades of blue and delicate floral patterns are so pretty, and I couldn’t wait to create something with them!

I decided to pair this lovely paper with the Poetic Petals Stamp Set and Dies, and what a beautiful combination! The floral designs complement each other perfectly, creating a card that is both elegant and charming.

One of the things I love most about card making is discovering how different products work together to create something special. Sometimes all it takes is a beautiful piece of Designer Series Paper and the right stamp set to bring an idea to life!

Measurements:
Night of Navy card base: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 card base and 3 x 4 1/4
True Blue Florals: front layer – 5 1/4 x 4, inside piece 3 3/4 x 3/4
Basic White front layer : 4 x 2 3/4
Balmy Blue layer: 2 1/4 x 2 1/4
Basic White inside sentiment layer: 5 x 3 3/4
Navy Ribbon: 4 inches (I used a retired ribbon)

Instructions:

1. Score the card base at 4 1/4 and fold
2. Adhere the True Blue Florals DSP to the front of the card
3. Stamp the sentiment ‘have a beautiful day’ from the Poetic Petals bundle, onto the bottom of the Basic White 4 x 2 3/4 then using one of the Poetic Petals Dies – die cut at the top of the piece leaving the same border on the right, left and top of the piece
4. Tie a knot in the Night of Navy ribbon and then wrap around the Basic White piece. Add the Balmy Blue 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 to the back of the die cut flower(s) and then adhere to the Night of Navy 3 x 4 1/4 then add to the front center of the card using dimensionals.
5. Add embellishments to the flowers.
6. Stamp the inside sentiment on the Basic White 5 x 3 3/4 add the strip of DSP to the bottom and adhere to the inside of the card.
